Steve Jost
For 38 years Steve ran a successful Commercial/Industrial photography business, coupled with a custom black and white photofinishing operation in the greater Los Angeles area.

Catering to the demanding LA advertising market, gave Steve the opportunity to photograph a myriad of corporate and commercial assignments around the world, while constantly upgrading his technical and artistic skills.

In 1999, Steve and his wife Pam departed on their 40 ft sailboat, Viva, for an extended cruise to Mexico, Central America, and the islands of the eastern Caribbean.

In 2002 Steve switched to the digital camera format and once again learned all of the latest photo/computer technology involved in this exciting medium.

The next eight years were spent exploring and photographing the islands and anchorages of the Windward/Leeward Island chain, while summering in Trinidad and Venezuela to keep below the hurricane belt.

The images displayed on this site are just a sprinkling of the sights enjoyed on a daily basis in that colorful part of the world.

Viva is now berthed on the Rio Dulce in Guatemala and Steve is now accepting assignments in the States and the Caribbean.
